\"Canley\u201d<\/span> is one the fastest regattas in the world for age group based rowing and provides an exceptional experience in racing. The race course in St. Catharines (Port Dalhousie), ON, has hosted the World Championships in 1970 and 1999 and is slated to do the same in 2024. Athletes prep on Henley Island with hundreds of teams from the around the world. With their races finishing in front of a fully covered grandstand. There are very few racing opportunities like this in North America. Our close proximity to the course makes this an outstanding destination and opportunity for racing.<\/p>\n<\/div>

I came into the camp with just a small amount of rowing experience but a desire to learn and work hard. I improved a lot that summer and learned a ton about the sport of rowing from a very knowledgeable and diverse coaching staff. \r\n\r\n<\/svg><\/span>The camp was a truly outstanding experience for my daughter \u2014 it took her from zero to sixty in both skill and love for rowing.

The coaches delivered an incredible balance of structure and encouragement. Their training program met each athlete where they were, but accelerated everyone together \u2014 even novices like Jayna. From sports psychology and strength coaching to individual lessons, every detail was intentional and professional.

What impressed me most was the culture: in just four weeks, they created a positive, team-first environment where athletes worked hard, supported one another, and had fun. \nFocus\n<\/h2>
\nWRC\u2019s U23\/U19\/U17 Henley training group is looking for high integrity, motivated athletes and coxswains who are committed to high level training and racing for 5 weeks of the summer. This is the next step for any athlete aspiring to make significant speed gains throughout the summer period. Sweep and Sculling boats will be formed dependent on accepted applications. U19\/U17 athletes will be training alongside the U23 groups at certain points throughout the summer, exposing them to the next level of racing.\n<\/div>

We believe well educated athletes can become faster athletes. Below are some of the areas, we focus on as part of our off water camp curriculum to support athlete development. Athletes will leave camp with a comprehensive google doc of resources they can use post camp connected to these core items.<\/p>\n
