High School Rowing

Rowing’s enormous potential to have a positive impact on young athletes has made it one of the fastest-growing high school sports in the country.

Washtenaw Rowing Center aims to serve as a hub for junior rowing development in the area, currently offering both sweep and sculling programs for athletes looking to improve their rowing over the summer.

Fall Morning Meters

Morning Meters sculling/sweep sessions provide extra fall training opportunities for athletes. Participants can request specific skill work from coaches or complete assigned training/drills.

Eligibility: Athletes who completed WRC high school camp or equivalent at their home club. These sessions are NOT for learning to scull—attend Summer Sculling/Sweep Development Camp or take private lessons instead.

Boat options: Singles, pairs, doubles, coxless fours, and quads available for both sculling and sweep. For team boats, coordinate with other athletes interested in the same boat class.
